” happy Veterans Day = DEMOCRACY ”
Oooohhh Rrrraaaggghhh!!! Semper Fi
how many times people asked me why
in the integrity of who we are
Marines to the Corps
should U like to know more!!!???
democracy is not free
this explains it best
from wars popular
to wars unpopular and unknown
the situations one is in
typically with a team
could eventually be alone
to all the hell and pain
the strain of life not coming twice
though eyes open
a ghost before U
once lived
now dead in the memories of atrocities not easily fixed
time and time again – brain fixed in triggers never contained
only realigned – if good therapy attained
battlegrounds shifting from one country to another
from one city to another
from one block to another
giving up on trying to fight the inevitable returns
beating me time and time again
to a place where i can’t win
wished and wishing not to be
for all the hell that constantly is plaguing me
so yes, brothers and sisters
some have given all
some have given this and that limbs, and other body parts
and mental injuries follow… and mental injuries alone
this our gift to democracy
this our love for country
yes some of us were and are poor
yes we would
to give it all once more
for idea and principal
they never go astray
so we too do our best to fix these injuries
some suffered, some not apparent and some maybe not at all
we are all different peoples
as we are all different people
experiences shaping the soul differently indeed
so here we now trying for most healthy
in our continuing to give to civlity
our continued efforts for democracy
to stand up in the middle of our call
tell the happenings in education to change our world
share our art and poetry in artistic touching interactions
in a
HAPPY VETERANS DAY = DEMOCRACY!!!
Peace and Love to all my brothers and sisters in all Branches of those who serve – and all civilians who serve for the efforts of democracy, creating civility through fairness, eradicating of racism and undue prejudices (i say this as we aim to gain our clean environments and wish to have the best world to live in {no more pollution – is all i am saying and working on for one}
Though i was not in Iraq or Iran (nor any popular war) i have held it in, that which i was exposed to, whether some will or will not consider it a war, i know it is, was, and must be addressed. i shall write it out and hope to get it published and hopefully it will be an educational tool to change the world for better democracy… until then, i give U poetry and art.
peace and love
