Spring Blizzards
again chased away all the lizards though there were none but salamanders by the ton needing sun
just to thaw and their seasons begun
legs thawed, crawled out and began to run
their yellow stripes bouncing back sun
and so we see them, how they sprung
alas winter not turned spring for days
about 5 and 4 from where others come
and we Californians
at times the envy of all of 4 seasons
less Florida, Texas, Mexico, the Philippines and Acapulco etc.
so let us find something to bring us sunshine
because even though we have sunshine
it does not always warm us
as if we were in
Spring Blizzards
