addressing the people

we who sit here

we who lay here

we who put out thoughts to the air

we who work the land

we who thought the words pertained not to us

we who what the hell

Lincoln, and his Nobility

like all nobility

he did start a fire

stir the fire

made a spark for others to now

get in the fire

it is hot

it is still trendy

forget trendy

i can’t think of a thing to add, nor a thing to take away

i mean if the ideals were true

and were lived

well lived in a nation of the free and the home of the brave

and bravery there was,

and bravery there is

and bravery there still needs to be

for a ton of civil liberties that have been buried in caskets

for a people who have other agendas

suppression is more in line with their gain

and of no consequence is poverties pain

taken for the building of wealth

taken for the creation of billionaires

has there been any of these truly noble

how much can be done

and how much is yet to be done

i can think

can you

is there another

something or other to do

i have a list, and any other who is wronged

they must have a list too

unless given in to apathy

given to the mindset of all bets are off

because there is nothing worth the gamble

there is nothing worth disrupting the comfort of abuses

intrusions into the lives one shall never have

comfort one shall never know

so in the havens of just some small shack of a mind

and a t.v. to hide behind,

and true, all is good with legitimate smiles of others in the same misery as we

i wish to climb another mountain

all broken, and the earth crumbling

i wish to walk another thousand miles

with no shoes left to stand in, mine nor the mentors of true freedom of all

i want to create from pain the cloths that hug me

the shoes that take me to a breath of fresh air

that take me to the place of worked soil in the life it birthed

for the life i hope to gain

freedom for all

that is all i can think of

rights for all that is all i can think of

love for all, and to be able to now love one’s self

and in the boxed up mentality

no one was even allowed to move a breath

nobody was even in an all out stretch

to try to get themselves free

like me… i was trying, against the whole world

and others too, i know those boxes were not still

the boxes that people were and still are stuffed into

the boxes that tell others what he or she is

what this or that means

what we can and cannot do

come on now

can anybody scream

can anybody run

can anybody rise and look at the sun

hey, no, put these sunglasses on fool

it is just a question in that none should do

but to know what it is that one should do

to know what is that needs to be done

to gain the insight as to how it needs to be done

that can never in a society of many

be done by just one

even in the greatest of minds

even in the greatest of times

even in the wondrous fly

the gadfly, the questions that come asking why why why

should i try, if none is to gain

but rest those thoughts

and here what others are saying

because it is not just about you

not just about me, though i often can only see my pain

as others before me, too had to catch themselves in strain

to have the plains before them of all that needed to be done in the collective to address the betterment of all individuals in the many communities of a nation still standing

is it still standing, i here the reverberations from across the oceans the lakes and the streams

or is it still getting up from the minds of old trying to be the wealth continuum in nothing but gold

but no standards were etched in stone, nor paper, nor mind

just selfishness for the one hoping all else to be blind

and they too took part in creating this avenue of blindness with deceptions and corruption and

the keeping of an eternal knowledge that one day will get out

one day it will feed the masses for the ideas that is needed for the freedoms of all, and that is education, and how it is presented, and how one encourages the self think and the colliective research then to have the ideas from many inked out for all to gain
